The Living Garden Quilt - Baycrest Hospital
In the summer of 2013, I implemented a 3-part collage workshop for members of the Adult Day Program at Baycrest. Each of the twelve participants created a variety of collage works in response to the theme of the Living Garden. The collage pieces are made of Japanese papers, and each represents abstract and representational interpretations of flowers, vines and birds. The piece that you see below was carefully machine stitched to create a quilt. It currently hangs at the Day Centre's gallery wall at Baycrest.
